Greg earned his MBA from Lynchburg College in Virginia and a BS in Business Finance from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. He worked at Liberty University in the role of Budget Director and also at InService America in the capacity of Chief Financial Officer. He also worked with Stephen Winchell and GOPShoppe.com for Philly2000 and was involved with the master vendor for 54th Presidential Inauguration.
His passion for our work is evidenced by our continued quality, growth and success. Today we have 20 employees dedicated to continuation of the previous generations' work, quality and passion. Greg is married, and has three children.
Ken’s background in manufacturing, plating and finishing as well as his experience in quality and customer satisfaction/relations has been paramount to Al Bar’s growth and success. You will find that his skills from the production-plating environment as well as his personal interest in ‘all things old’ are clearly evident in the results we produce at Al Bar Wilmette. Ken is married and has two teenage children.
Loraine came from the top of the Hancock Observatory to begin a career in Client Services and Project Management at Al Bar Wilmette. Her ‘can-do’ attitude is always seen and commented on by our very insightful clientele. Loraine, well known for remembering a client’s name (after only meeting them one time), inspects and prepares almost every order we finish on a monthly basis (often over 600 projects a month).
Robert has a background in business but his passion is snow (and lot’s of it) which we get plenty of in Wilmette. Robert’s attention to detail and discriminating taste can be seen on every project he is involved with. When he is not in the shop, he is out West hiking in the mountains and relaxing before the next big ‘rush’ project. Bob has been with Al Bar for over 25 years.
Neil and his family currently reside in France. Neil’s ability to work with our staff both on-site and overseas has been a critical advantage in turning a mom-and-pop business into a nationwide service company. Neil is married and has two children.
Harald has a background in construction and, more than likely, he was building homes before you were born. He is one of the only staff members that can truly say “I have seen just about everything”. Harald has been married to his lovely wife Rita for over 50 years.
Ed is one of the most detail-oriented people that we know. His hobby of building N-scale train layouts certainly qualifies him for the minute details that he attends to at Al Bar. Ed is involved with detailed aspects of door schedules, fine repairs, assembly, and general trouble-shooting. If you break it, he can most likely fix it. He has also been privileged to make on-site visits for Al Bar to Hawaii, Georgia and Alaska. Ed is married to his wife Judy and has two grown sons.
Juan started at Al Bar in our finishing department over 10 years ago. He currently supervises all of our finishing and plating operations, which include a staff of 10 team members. He has been integral to continuous development of find hand finishes and manages the scheduling of over 600 individual jobs each month. Juan is married and has 5 children and 3 grandchildren.
